Contacting A Chapter
To find a chapter near you, check out our <Contact List>.

If you don't see a chapter listed for your area, please contact us at: < This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it >.

Contributing To A Chapter
There are several ways to get involved with your chapter.

Prerequisite: Create a GGDA Account [FREE]
The first step to getting involved in any capacity is to create a free GGDA account. Visit our account registration web page at <http://register.ggda.org> and create your account. Then, login [link at top right] and select "My Profile" in the User Menu [top left]. Complete your profile with full contact information.

Registering a free account is NOT the same as membership. Membership requires payment of membership dues which may be done through our store: <http://store.ggda.org>.

1. Subscribe to a Chapter Newsletter. [FREE]
Subscribing to a chapter newsletter is free and will keep you up to date with things happening in your area. The chapter newsletter is published by the volunteer chapter administration team in your area and may be published sporadically based upon their available time. You may subscribe to any number of chapter newsletters. Login and select "My Dashboard" from the User Menu [top left]. Then, under "Your Groups" add the chapter(s) to which you want to subscribe.

2. Attend a Chapter Meeting. [Fee May Apply]
Unless otherwise specified, chapter meetings are open to the public. Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent. Depending upon space and/or cost, chapter meetings may require advanced registration or fees. When fees apply, GGDA members will usually receive a discounted rate.

3. Share Your Experiences. [FREE]
Login to the website and visit our forums. Share your experiences and find other people working on similar tools and projects.

4. Help Others Find Your Chapter [FREE]
Word of mouth is the most powerful resource at your disposal. Tell all your colleagues about your local chapter and point them to this page <http://chapters.ggda.org>.

5. Build the Future. [Membership]
Ready to help shape the future of our industry? Become a member of GGDA. Consider serving as a volunteer on any level. And, lead by example. Your contributions help us achieve important initiatives on our strategic mission to build Georgia into a center of excellence of the video game industry.

Starting A Chapter
Starting a chapter is easy. You just have to volunteer your time. If your metro area doesn't already have a chapter, contact us at: < This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it >. When your metro area reaches 5 companies, 1 college, 1 high school, 50 professionals and 20 students, we'll formalize the chapter. Chapter president positions are appointed by our GGDA president. Whereas most associations use an election system, GGDA takes a more business-like approach by "hiring" the people best suited to move the company forward on its mission and avoiding popularity contests. Chapter presidents then in turn appoint persons to serve in the various chapter positions. Position assignments are reviewed as needed but at least annually.
